ORBIS

March 1, 2018 opened a new stage in the activities of the PUMS Faculty of Pharmacy. That day began the implementation of the international and cross-sectoral ORBIS (Open Research Biopharmaceutical Internships Support) Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) project. The ORBIS project is funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Research and Innovation Staff Exchange H2020 MSCA-RISE-2017 Program (Grant No. 778051).
In the ORBIS project participate 5 universities, 1 research institute and 4 pharmaceutical companies from 7 countries. Our consortium partners include: Pharmaceutical Institute (Poland), Poznan University of Technology (Poland), Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), University of Helsinki (Finland), Applied Process Company Ltd. (Ireland), Farmak JSC (Ukraine), Physiolution GmbH (Germany), Zentiva (Czech Republic) and Rutgers University (USA).
This is the first EU project fully coordinated by our University. The unit responsible for coordination is the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at PUMS Faculty of Pharmacy.
The Chair and Department of Physical Pharmacy and Pharmacokinetics also actively joined in the implementation of this project:
- Dr. hab. Marta Karaźniewicz-Łada became a member of the Training Committee and co-leader of the WP4 (Training). Together with dr. Grzegorz Garbacz from Physiolution became the leader of the WP3 (Biopharmaceutical evaluation of dosage forms and drug delivery systems).
- Dr. Katarzyna Kosicka-Noworzyń became a co-leader of the WP7 (Ethics). In 2019, she became the director of the Training Committee and the leader of the WP4 (Training) package.
- Dr. Michał Romański became a co-leader of the WP7 (Ethics).
